I was telling someone that ginger blooms with an amazing scent. The blossom is so pretty. Orchid like.

How beautiful! I got my first ginger this year, and I've fallen in love with it; mine is Hidden Lily Ginger. Is your Butterfly Ginger hardy? I'm not taking any chances on mine, it's going into the garage for winter vacation.
It is a beautiful bloom- I can imagine how thrilled you were- I am the same way!
