Yep, hubby and I went to the eye doctor (this actually looks like my old eye doc), this was our first time to see our new doctor and he was absolutely the nicest guy!
I bought contacts...
(don't ask me why one of these is so big:)
Apparently I'm a real grown up now, and at 40+ I qualify for bifocals...
I know I'm going to look great in them...
I am so thankful my eyes are healthy...
And now I can see colors and things sharper and brighter...
I am so thankful for our health and that we could afford this right now. Being able to see is a lovely thing:)
Have a GREAT Thankful Day!!
My goal this year is to soak it up, to bloom where I am planted, and enjoy the ride...
Counting my many blessings naming them one by one...

Carla, was that just a weird angle on the shot or is one of them really that much bigger??
Praise God for good vision.
Healthy Eyes are a blessing for sure and having healthcare and or being able to afford the check-up is a blessing as well. Glad your eyes are clearer and sharper!! There is going to be a lot to see in the gardens soon!
Good luck with the contacts; I could never get comfortable with them. I am comfortable in glasses, uncomfortable without them, in fact. Sight is a precious thing; I totally took it for granted until my Dad was diagnosed with macular degeneration, then I found out how bad it could be. He never completely lost his sight, was only legally blind, but still made things kinda difficult.
More rain and thunderstorms in our forecast today, hope your weather is pleasant, enjoy spring!
A great post, Carla. The pictures are wonderful.
Carla,
Love your post, you have such imagination
This is a wonderful post. Eyesight is so often taken for granted but it's a blessing from God. Have a great day!
Vision is my favorite sense because I love to read. I'm so thankful for it, too. That was one big contact! I wish I could wear them. :) Well, not that big, I don't know if I could get my eye open wide enough, LOL. My friend Harriett wears them and they're very flexible, though. Happy Thankful Thursday!
Maybe the one contact is for the Big Bad Wolf...the better to see you!
Really nice post.
Have a Thankful Thursday

Wow, I am afraid of things in my eyes so I would not have the courage to try. I am glad you can though. I have thought of LASIK.
Be blessed my friend.
I always thought, take my hearing and not my sight if one has to go! I never had the nerve for contacts, but my husband wears them. Yes, we are lucky to be healthy.

Hi. I'm finally getting around to visiting the friends who popped by during the Spring Fling. Thanks for visiting my blog! Cute site - I love your header.
I keep trying to get my nerve up to get contacts, but I'm such a darn chicken! One of these days.
