Accidental Perfection...

As I get older, I seem to be drawn to orange,
BRIGHT orange.
GAUDY Orange.

When I planted the Purslane,
I had forgot about the purple asters that would be blooming later,
along with the Purslane.

One plant of Purple Aster hasn't even started to bloom.
This border will really be something else then:)

LOVE IT!!

The Pokeberry (in the back) re-seeded itself on the other side of my deck pot plants, great coverage, and purple berries:)

Totally loving this wildness!!

Re-seeding Salvia, Cocks Comb, and Blue Blooming Jew

Bone-set and Celosia

I sprinkled seed everywhere, only two came up, and then it was together in one pot!!
Love this color!!

Rock Rose and Garlic Chives
This just happens to be two pots temporarily sitting next to each other...

Re-seeded Wild basil, Ginger, Taro Elephant Ears

Often, Mother Nature knows best!! She is welcome in my yard any time:)

I find I am loving orange in the garden as well - yours looks especially striking with the purple asters. Your gardens are just gorgeous and I love the freeflowing look of them!

Yes, we ARE kindred spirits! I sometimes am almost apologetic of my love for unabashed wildness in the garden. I had a surprise pokeberry, I imagine a gift from the birds. My neighbor said, "that's a weed", i said "not in my garden, i love it". Why should it be any other way? We can't improve upon nature!

My daughter loves purple and orange and bright colors. I'll have to remember this combo for her garden next year. Beautiful photos and garden!

Your mother nature has great skills and talents. My mother nature got the short end of the stick, and seems to know only how to reseed weeds. Lovely -- that combo of orange and purple is fabulous!
