This is the 'June 09' front yard photo. Amazing how you can't really see what is in these beds from the road. "My" view from the front porch is much prettier. Taylor will be taking his boat, so this week (probably Friday), I will be moving the plants and dirt out.
My show stopper castor bean seeds are coming up....
So I planted a castor bean plant with each new 'mounding' lantana...
I planted mounding and trailing lantanas, and hopefully, with the castor beans, it will really grow so you can see these from the road...
My moon plant double in size from last week...
Here is the whole bed, I finally laid the soaker hose out, and you can see this needs another layer of pine mulch.
Looking back you can see the whole bed, these last plants are mimosa, red bud tree, with winter honeysuckle bush, white iris and orange daylilies.
Some random blooms: Mexican honeysuckle
Pink Zinnia with purple petunia (balloon flower in back)
ONE kerria (sp?) bloom
Ditch daylily, these grow like weeds in our road ditches, look at the triple bloom!

Lovely.

Ditch daylilly? You've got the best ditches ever if they produce day lillys! My moonplants have taken off like wildfire, too!
I love those zinnias, they are a beautiful color. I love all your flowers. Creeping Lantana is so pretty. We have it coming under the neighbors fence into our yard and it is thriving.
Happy Gardening.

You have so many interesting plants. I've never seen a castor bean plant before. I assume it flowers. Can't wait to see what it looks like.
Thanks for the Tour De Yard. I love those Zinnias. Castor bean, lantana, mimosa. Where do you live (sounds like my place!)
Oh, and can't leave without commenting on Frankie. I just love the personality of small dogs. I have an 11 year old Papillon (and she's all of 4 pounds).
Anyhow, Frankie is a cute one!
Hi Carla! There's an award on my blog for ya if you would like to participate. BTW, beautiful flowers!
Your yard looks great! I love the pink zinnias--they ruled my life till not very long ago:-) My orange lilies are blooming now and they look the same as yours. Ditch daylilies?! I did read about these plants being invasive. I like the shot of the whole bed. Going by what you've planted, there's plenty to look forward to. Happy gardening!
