Fuzzy Wuzzy was a bear(cat)...
Prince George 07/11
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair...

Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't very fuzzy...

Or WUZ he?
FUZZY Prince George 11/11
Out of the blue, our kitten cutie pie, Georgie Porgie, fluffed out.
What a nice surprise.
His name is George Clooney, cause he's just too cute for his own good.
What a cutie patootie!

COT: Blu Christmas

 Its a blue blue Christmas...

At my mom's our Princess Blu has been reunited with her 1/2 sister, Moxie (on left).
Moxie, also our Froggie's kitten, was born just a few months after Blu.
Moxie was the runt in a large litter, but, like her name says, she has Moxie.

How do you tell these girls apart?

Easy...Moxie has a sweet round face, soft meow, and is very timid.
Blu has more of a sour face, sour meow, and (often) sour and take no crap off of anycat attitude.

Love my Blu girl.

COT: Home Sweet Home

Our fine leader, Queen Uno, has settled in nicely at her old home place.

As a kitten she was born at our house,

then spent her first few months here at my mom's lake house,

Uno spent all her time trying to get in the house, and was so happy when she returned to us, and was allowed in.  Uno has always been an 'inside/outside' kitty.

Now, a decade later, she is back. (And mom has mellowed enough to allow our girl inside.)

It has been said you can't go home again, but as you see, Queen Uno has.

~All Hail Queen Uno~

~Long Live The Queen~

How blessed I am to have Uno in my life.
She is who I look for each time I come home, and am so thankful she is at mom's where kitty love abounds.
We are only there on weekends, and thanks to mom, I don't have to worry about Uno.
Long live my Queen.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas season!

COT: The Queen Speaks...

Our most kind ruler, Queen Uno, held a press conference today to let all her loyal subjects know her current status.
With the death of her adopted daughter, Princess Froggie, and the large decision to relocate the kingdom, our Queen has had quite a lengthy hiatus.
The public was pleased to know all is well with their beloved Queen, and to hear it from her own sweet feline lips.
Our lovely rulers:  Princess Blu, and her grandmother, Queen Uno
The Queen reports the relocation went well, and that she and her adopted granddaughter, Princess Blu, have settled in nicely and have resumed close attention to matters of state.

All is well-All is well...

~All Hail Queen Uno~

~God Save The Queen~

Seems like forever since we have blogged or done "Cats on Tuesday".

We completed our move to my mom's (THE crazy cat lady) Sept 1, then my uncle died, daughter moved closer, we moved the camper (our weekday home away from home while hubby works out of town), and MUCH activity with our other kids, not counting all the birthdays and holidays.  Whew...

{Uno, Blu, and George update:  I was worried about old Uno at mom's, but she has really made herself at home (of course SHE gets to come inside and eat privately, and we do cater to her every whem), Blu was doing great outside, BUT my mom decided Blu could come in and eat with Uno (Blu LOVES it), little kitten George (not pictured) is a total outside cat and beyond cute.
All is well in the land...all is well:)}

Anyways...
We don't have internet at mom's, so I'm in the process of moving my pics from my old computer to the laptop so I can blog during the week when at the camper.
I have so much to blog, so it should keep me pretty busy.
I have checked in on other bloggers, but since hubby's laptop is cranky, it didn't let me comment, so I've been more of a lurker than follower...
Plan on that changing this week:).
Hope every one has had a wonderful holiday season, and all is well with every-little-thing!

COT: Da Move

Due to recent security concerns, our Good Queen Uno has ushered an official command.
The Kingdom is relocating its head quarters.

Queen Uno, Princess Blu, and Prince George hard at work...
The Royal party has been much involved, and always on hand to assist the servants in the organizing, and actual moving.

Princess Blu (under couch) trains Prince George, as Queen Uno looks on...
As an always prepared Queen, paw-to-paw combat training has continued for those involved in the Outlying Peasant Pooch Peace Talks.

Our Good Queen feels secure in her decisions...and wishes all a blessed day...

It is official, I set a date, told my landlord, and have begun the packing.
We are moving:).
We only planned on staying here until my youngest graduated (to keep him in this school district), and that was two and half years ago.
August in Texas is a terrible time to move (105 degrees and holding), but I'm doing it!!

Hubby is so agreeable, "you pack it, I'll move it" he says.
We have enjoyed ourselves here, but my mom's is where we really want to be.
Half our time will be at my mom's (old family home place), the other half with be with hubby in the camper (parked where he works two hours away).
My kitties aren't really interested one way or another.
Well, maybe the kitten, but Uno and Blu have other things on their minds.
Blu now plays with the kitten, George, but doesn't sleep with him yet.
He is a TOTAL pest, and completely perfect for our little kingdom.
Ok, back to packing...
Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

COT: The Monarchy Must Continue...

Time stands still for no one...
Little Prince George
With the loss of precious Princess Froggie, the kingdom must continue on...
The subjects MUST have stability, with that, a new royal family member has moved into the castle for 'paws' on training...
Meet Prince George...
Prince George and Coco
Because of the fatal situation with the Outlying Peasant Pooch Peace Talks which took the life of our dear Princess, the good Queen Uno has insisted serious focus begin here at home.  Prince George has started early in his training to the insights of these strange foreigners...

Blue Princess Blu
It has been rumored that Princess Blu (daughter of the late Princess Froggie) feels this is all happening too soon and the mourning period has not been long enough...

Princess Blu, Queen Uno, Prince George
But the grand Queen Uno understands the need to move forward, for the monarchy, and subjects, and the kingdom as a whole...

We welcome you little Prince George!!

In the absence of Froggie, her daughter, Blu, has been playing TOO rough with old Uno (Froggie and Blu wrestled).  So, I decided to get a kitten.  The first week she just growled and hissed at him, but this week she is watching and stalking him.  He, cute as a button, is totally oblivious.  I named him George, as in George Clooney, or Georgie Porgie.  Today the grands are here, and he has decided that maybe he DO NOT like squeezing!!  All is well!

Ode To The Princess

The Kingdom is sad to report the loss of  a valued member of the Royal Family, Princess Frog Gee Girl has not returned from outlying Peasant Pooch Peace Talks.

Queen Uno's court: Princess Froggie, Princess Blu, Queen Uno 04/11
They join together to remember, and honor, their beloved Princess Frog-Gee-Girl.

Her daughter, Princess Blu, still recovering from her own injuries while interacting with the outlying Peasant Pooches, has removed herself from the public, taking some quiet time to reflect...

The Queen makes a quick appearance to address the public...
The Queen Mother, Uno, makes a public statement requesting truce.
The Queen honors her adopted daughter's efforts in the dangerous activity of Peasant Pooch conflicts.
The Queen calls for both sides, the Royal Feline, and outlying Peasant Pooch, to come together and end this turmoil.
No more violence, she says, let us live in a time of peace.
Let this be the last death.

Princess Frog-Gee-Girl 2009/2011

She will be remembered for her fashion sense, her work as Peace Ambassador, her spunky spirit, her determination, her intelligence, her beauty inside as well as out.

~All Hail Queen Uno~
~God Save The Queen~

I hate to report the missing and probable death of my two and a half  year old tortie, Froggie.
In June my Blu kitty came home with puncture wounds on her mid-section.
Definitely from a dog.
Not our dogs, but some loose dogs in the neighborhood (because, apparently leash laws don't apply to them).
That same week Froggie disappeared.
I'm sure the dogs got her.
I hope she went fast.
I hate to think of her suffering.
Sadly that is a major drawback to having outside kitties, the world can be violent (just ask the creatures my kitties hunt and kill).
I'm really amazed I've had Uno so long (10+ years).

So, a little tribute to my girl:
Spunky, smart, evil, played too rough, had two back to back litters of 9 kittens before I got her fixed, marvelous daughter and mother, tolerant of grandkids, sweet snuggler, big purrer,  master hunter...
We sure enjoyed our time with her.
God bless you my sweet tortie girl.

COT: Bendy Blu

Princess Blu Bayou really enjoys her nap time...
and her flexibility...
She carries 'slinkyness' outside as she sits and enjoys the view...

You will also notice Princess Blu is working on her camouflaging ability...

We don't call her "Blu" for nothing...

Blu, like her mama, Froggee, likes to sleep in twisty positions.
Not old Uno, she is too much of a lady.
Blu and Froggee ain't no ladies.

Heavy Drinker?

Or water shortage?

Ever the lady, Queen Uno drinks from her paw...
Guess who's water bowl was empty?
Guess who didn't get the 'hint' when Uno came to inform of the issue?

Guess who got up and filled the bowl?
AND said she was sorry...

Quality Control

Ever busy, Princess Blu stays 'on-top' of supplies for the kingdom.

Personally testing for softness and durability.

This stack of towels passes the test...

Whenever I'm missing Blu, I just check the towels above the toliet.
I have keep them stacked pretty high to keep her out.
She has been know to knock them ALL off into the toliet.
Makes me NONE too happy.
Pretty kitty tho...

Queenie-Roast

Recently our gracious Queen allowed the Kingdom to honor her with a Roast.
Humbled by the honor and praise showered upon her,
the ever good natured Queen,
went along with the festivities.

How gracious is our Queen Uno.

Top Secret Council

The Royal Family takes a break from a TOP SECRET council meeting.

As you can see, Queen Uno, Princess Froggee and newly appointed Peasant Pooch Representative, Princess Blu, are reading and discussing "Cesar's Rules" THE dog training manual for Pooch Patrols.

Look out Peasants Pooches, the Royal Kitties now have Dog Whisperer insight.

I had quite a chuckle seeing the cats sleeping on my dog training book!!
Actually I'm glad they CAN'T read, or we would ALL be in trouble!!

{by the way this is a really great book!}

(Royal) Public Service Announcement

An Serious Message From Our Queen
The Gracious Queen Uno would like to take a moment to address a most important topic.
Needless over population of pets.
ESPECIALLY the local Peasant Pooch Patrol Population.

Reba Marie and LadyBelle return home to happy greetings from Mellow and the puppy, after their quick procedures.

The Queen is glad to publicly report that the local socialized medical coverage for her subjects is well at work.
Royal Kitty or Peasant Pooch, medical care is administered quickly and properly.
Now each of  the Government Employee Basset Peasants Pooch Patrol are now up to date on their procedures.
She is considering contacting OTHER governments and suggesting improvements to THEIR socialized medical coverage for their subjects.

Last year we (happily) had our two female cats fixed, and yesterday I took the two female bassets in and had them done.
(happy happy joy joy)
Old basset Mellow, and Uno were done over a decade ago.
Nice feeling to not have to worry about who is in season and what they are up too.  Reba Marie ( red and white basset) is 6 ish, we had thought about breeding her, but decided to just buy her a baby.
That baby, LadyBelle (tri-color, mostly red and white spotted), is almost a year and our little travel buddy (Mell and Reba get car sick).
They went in together, and both stayed at the vet's overnight.  We sure did miss our girls.
When I picked them up at 8 this morning they were both so happy to see me they loaded themselves, and even though they have stitches, when we stopped at home, they UNLOADED themselves.
Hubby called twice to see how his girls were.  "Dopey and Happy to be home" I told him.  Currently we have a big rabies problem with skunks, so I'm very thankful we are caught up on our shots too.  Nice to have this done.  Have a super great Tuesday!!  We will.

Visiting Royality...

Queen Uno was surprised by visiting family this week.
Our most beautiful Queen Uno

This was not pre-approved by the Queen,
and needless to say she was a little frazzled at first.

The Queen tires quickly of being outside, AND the antics of feline nephew Ichy.

So, being the wise ruler she is,
she delegated the task of personal one on one attention to other family members,

Princess Blu personally entertains Cuz Ichy.

including the peasant pooch patrol, and human servants.
The Queen then retired to her private quarters.
As usual, the Queen knows best.

~All Hail Queen Uno~
~God Save The Queen~

Hubby, sweetly, volunteered me to watch the grands while their mom went and spent some alone time with her husband, who is working out of town.  So, I have three kiddos to watch, AND their kitten, AND their dog.  After I fussed for not being asked first, I admitted I would have said yes anyway.
So, my doggies outside are really enjoying my daughter's heeler/lab mix Kanai, and our kitten Blu is so curious she can't help but play with my daughter's just as curious kitten Ichy.  And of course hubby and  I are enjoying my sweet granddarlings:).
Old cat Uno, is not so impressed, but I know how to make sure her-old-self comes first.  What a sweet beauty is my Uno.

Cold Weather Advisor...

Queen Uno is very concerned about our current cold weather.
But, being the wise old queen she is, she has found a very 'green' way to stay warm here at the castle.
Snuggling.
She suggests you find the fattest, warmest, purrrrrringest creature around.
Tuck in tight around your feline hot pad and dream the cold away.
Thank goodness grand daugther, Princess Blu, agrees (AND qualifies.)

~Long Live Queen Uno~
~God Save The Queen~

We are currently having an ice storm here in East Texas.  Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....
Not pretty, fluffy, white snow.  Nope.  Ugly, gray skys, COLD wind, and slick ice coated ground.
Yuck.
Be safe.  Stay warm.   And if you are fortunate enough to have one, snuggle with the one you love.   (Purring optional;)
