Show & Tell: Froggy Devotion

Our plan is to downsize in the near future. I will have to decide what matters the most, and fits into our new small space.

So why do I keep buying? I love this tea cup planter (featured before), and recently a friend who knows I love frogs found this froggy sugar bowl and creamer couple.
Aren't they adorable?

See how he is paying attention to her as she rambles on?
Darling, just darling.

Add in a yummy handpoured, soy, jasmine scented candle (from Darla of Friends and Flowers), and it is SO romantic.

AAAAHHHHH froggy love:)

Have a great weekend!!!!

Show & Tell: Forced Spring!

Leaving Valentine's day behind, but still enjoying a little red.
See my butterflies?

I had admired painted looking stickers online, and thought of painting my own birds in flight because the price was so high. Imagine my surprise to find these butterflies at the Dollar Tree.

Just as exciting to find so many in each package.

Sure does break up this big space...

All these for just TWO whole dollars! (and a shot of Uno cat for good measure!) If I decide I don't like them, or want them else where, I just peel them off.
(the photos really don't show the detail of each butterfly, they are swirly, with grays, greens and blues)

And for another dollar:
'laugh, live, love, hope, peace, joy, dream...'

I love them! Happy Show & Tell Friday!!!

Show & Tell: O Christmas Tree

O Christmas Tree

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree!
How are thy leaves so verdant!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How are thy leaves so verdant!

{I love my BIG fake Christmas tree covered with my 20+ years of special ornaments and pretty lights (most of our ornaments have been handed out to the child they belong to, so all that is left are hubby and my special ones (and some fillers)}
Not only in the summertime,
But even in winter is thy prime.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
How are thy leaves so verdant!

{I waited until (I thought I could stand it no more) Monday after Thanksgiving,
when down came Thanksgiving,
the hope chest was moved out of the way
(notice the kitty love fest going on:)}

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

{last time the tree was decorated, I left the room only to return to find my 'precious' sons THROWING ornaments across the room to see if they 'caught' and hung on the tree-GRRRRRRRRR!}
For every year the Christmas tree,
Brings to us all both joy and glee.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

{So this year, out came the boxes containing the tree parts,
and all the ornaments.
The girls I babysit went home
(they would have loved to have helped)}

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!

{The less than excited boys were bribed with cookies}
Each bough doth hold its tiny light,
That makes each toy to sparkle bright.
O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,
Thy candles shine out brightly!

{The ceiling is shorter here,
so we decided to put the star NEAR the top,
BUT the star was burned out,
and the garland missing
(just where is that other box of Christmas stuff??)
so a trip to Walmart was needed,
only to find not enough garland was purchased,
AND the new star didn't work,
SO the next night ANOTHER trip to Walmart which only had one strand of garland,
SO the next day ANOTHER trip to a different Walmart,
WHICH produced our beautiful tree!!}

(the star only looks like its leaning in the picture)
No body died in the decorating of this tree
(although my patience was surely tested (Taylor)) Only one pine cone was thrown across the room
(TAYLOR!!!! GGGGRRRRR!!!).
Shout out to:
Sweet tolerant hubby (you rock baby:) for the putting together and lighting of the tree
(21 years of tree decorating together and counting).
Missionaries that came for FHE, dinner, and quick decorating before leaving for an appointment.
Tay's friend who willingly helped til he had to leave.
Mike and Tay for seeing it through, after MUCH pushing
(love ya too much to argue Tay:).
Fred Claus for making us feel festive (after FHE and Missionaries left:)
Walmart for ALWAYS being open, and taking returns.
Little girls that ooo and ahhh.
Now just have to put up those empty boxes cluttering up my bedroom,
and find the lost Christmas box with the stockings in it!

Also my Pilgrim and Indian dolls from EBAY
AND Jessica from A Latte Moment who sent this cool cookbook as a prize this week! Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Show & Tell: All decked out for Halloween/Fall

Join others for Show & Tell!
Show and Tell

All my Halloween stuff is packed up somewhere. So, I tried to limit my buying more. I started the decorating back in early September. Mike (SS) said it was too early! That it was "the season of Mike," and fall started AFTER his birthday. He's right, we always had his birthday 09/22, THEN decorated. He's birthday is the day after the start of Autumn.
BUT granddaugther, LauraJune, and I went shopping and I made a haul!
So, follow me as I deck the halls with Autumn bounty!!! (fa-la-la-la...)

Living room window with pumpkin basket and window clings (put on up by my little ones:)

Basket (Goodwill $3 for a HUGE trash bag full of baskets), with seven $1 each pumpkins (Walmart), one for each of my seven kids. Decided to spray the basket black.

Uno with spray painted black basket and pumpkins (what a poser). Throw, scarf, whatever you call it, is a $2 rug from Big Lots (I bought two).

Black metal spider on web ($1 at Just a Dollar Store), LOVE the jewel body and raindrops on it!

Black metal, chain skeleton body, purple glitter, kitty ($1 at Just a Dollar Store)

Pumpkin sign with hanging BOO letters ($1 at Just a Dollar Store).

Window clings on empty fish tank (waiting for hubby to decide what he is doing with this tank-any time sweetheart-hint-hint:), put on by teenson (thanks Tay).

Window clings on kitchen window, I had to have the frog ones! All clings $1 a sheet at Walmart, boy it was hard to limit myself! And decide, go cute, or go creepy??? Choices, choices (I actually sat on the Walmart floor and dug through all of them, then selectivly narrowed it down to three.)

Top of fish tank, $1 glitter pumpkins (one for each grandchild-accidently bought an extra-one to grow on so to speak;), $2 Autumn picks, $1 flower bunch-all from Walmart. Love the girl/boy vase and elf in this grouping. (See my babies!! Love my kiddos, and their kiddos:)

My Spunky-girl!!!

Happy Fall Yall!

Thank you for joining me!!!
