Son-Day: "A Child's Prayer"

Please listen to in order to hear the beautiful round at the end...

A Child's Prayer
Janice Knapp Perry

Heavenly Father
Are you really there
And do you hear and answer every child's prayer
Some say that Heaven is far away
But I feel it close around me when I pray

Heavenly Father
I remember now
Something Jesus told disciples long ago
Suffer the children to come to me
Father in prayer I'm coming now to thee

Pray, He is there
Speak, He is listening
You are His child
His love now surrounds you

He hears your prayer
He loves the children
Of such is the kingdom
The kingdom of Heav'n

We have recently sang this song, at church, twice, and I wanted to share.
It is very much on my mind and heart.
Often I sing this to myself and replace the third person with first person, ME.
I am a child of God, and He hears MY prayers.
We never stop being His child.
He loves, and hears EACH of His children.

Father, help us each take a little time, be still, and know that you are God, and You are Here. In Jesus' Holy name, Amen

Sometimes when someone does not do exactly has I think they should, my sister is quick to tell me we are all God's children.

Carla I loved that I had never heard it. We do need to take the time for Him. In the daily rush sometimes I have to stop myself and remind myself to do this. Enjoyed your post today.

That's a pretty song. I had never heard it before now. Thanks for sharing. It is such a blessing to be able to go to our Father in prayer at any time and at any place.
