BT&OW: 10/20/09

Can you see Bilbo, the Golden Garden Gnome, in each picture???

The sun is out, its cooler, and very lovely outside now.

Everything is lush and happy.

Ahhhh, fall in East Texas:)

Our growing seasons are Spring and Fall.
Summer is our 'down time'.

Here in East Texas we get lots of rain in fall and winter.
That and the cooler temps bring out the blooms and make foliage colors really pop!!

Making our plants happy happy happy!!!

And the gardener very happy also!!

Bilbo's next assignment is New Mexico!!!
See April, the Dirt Princess of Trials and Tribulations of a Southern Gardener blog for the official announcement:)

  3. Well I am blind, I don't see the little bugger in the first 2 photos!
What is that in the 6th photo? I want some of that! Is it blue mistflower? I love those colors!

  7. I loved to see the photos of your garden. I imagine you welcome the rain. I have a daughter in Austin and while they've had some rain it hasn't helped to fill the reservoirs.
Have a great week and enjoy Outdoor Wednesday.

  8. Pretty pictures! I miss Texas. I lived in NE Texas for four years and fell in love with the area.

Thank you for sharing Bilbo's latest adventures with us.

  9. That's cute! A traveling Gnome. I'm partial to Gnomes - have a few myself. It seem so strange to have summer as a down time but I guess it's just way too hot. Garden is looking so lush and lovely! Mine is winding down a bit.
