Accidental Perfection...
When I planted the Purslane,
I had forgot about the purple asters that would be blooming later,
along with the Purslane.

One plant of Purple Aster hasn't even started to bloom.
This border will really be something else then:)

The Pokeberry (in the back) re-seeded itself on the other side of my deck pot plants, great coverage, and purple berries:)
Totally loving this wildness!!

I sprinkled seed everywhere, only two came up, and then it was together in one pot!!

I find I am loving orange in the garden as well - yours looks especially striking with the purple asters. Your gardens are just gorgeous and I love the freeflowing look of them!
ReplyDeleteYou have a beautiful garden. I love it when plants reseed and make a surprise appearance the next year!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty !

Love your pictures. Beatiful colors. No sign of fall yet.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day, Annemieke
Your garden is just gorgeous. I, too, love the pronounced and vibrant colors of fall. I hope you are having a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteOrange is my favorite color. I really like that purple basil. What a deep red, almost purple color.

ReplyDeleteYes, we ARE kindred spirits! I sometimes am almost apologetic of my love for unabashed wildness in the garden. I had a surprise pokeberry, I imagine a gift from the birds. My neighbor said, "that's a weed", i said "not in my garden, i love it". Why should it be any other way? We can't improve upon nature!
ReplyDeleteMother nature surely can put some great combos together. Everything looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI missed reading your blog! That is bloomin' Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves purple and orange and bright colors. I'll have to remember this combo for her garden next year. Beautiful photos and garden!
ReplyDeleteYour mother nature has great skills and talents. My mother nature got the short end of the stick, and seems to know only how to reseed weeds. Lovely -- that combo of orange and purple is fabulous!

Carla ~ good for you! A bloomin- Tuesday post even when Jean forgot! :) I absolutely LOVE the oranges, too, and I never thought I would. All your flowers are beautiful!
