Son-Day: "Power In The Blood"

Power In The Blood
Words & Music: Lewis E. Jones, 1899 (MIDI, score).
Jones wrote this song at a camp meeting at Mountain Lake Park, Maryland.

Would you be free from the burden of sin?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you o’er evil a victory win?
There’s wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide;
There’s wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Sin stains are lost in its life giving flow.
There’s wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Would you do service for Jesus your King?
There’s power in the blood, power in the blood;
Would you live daily His praises to sing?
There’s wonderful power in the blood.

There is power, power, wonder working power
In the blood of the Lamb;
There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

Kitchen Window: 02/2010

My kitchen window makes me smile:)
~smile~
The Kangaroo fern (on left) is new.
A Valentine's day treat.
The cute 'Spring' angels remind me spring is on the way.
(I actually saw a robin!!! Spring is on its way.)
My little "No act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted" is a wonderful reminder.
L to R:
Thin succulent (aka rhippsalis capilliformis)
Mini African Violet,
And a new (Valentine's day treat) Croton tag says "Banana", looks more like a corkscrew to me.
This new combo (since 10/09) is doing well.
I'm probably going to add the 'corkscrew' in this pot later.
L to R: Two Crotons: Purple leaf and Gold dust, Angel Wing Begonia, Christmas Cactus, Cyclamen

As dreary as it is outside, something colorful pleases my soul.

*Tomorrow is supposed to be 57, partly sunny,
NO wind.
I can't wait to go out and play.
(actually it is CLEANING I have planned,
but it will feel like playing)
How do you people up north stand it?

It SNOWED!!!!

Seems like, around February now, we get snow.
Can you see it falling?
It almost 'sizzles' when it hits the ground.
Here in East Texas, this is BIG stuff!!
Stores are raided for supplies, schools close, people cancel plans,
and snuggle up inside, safe and dry.
(This means pooches also.)
At 3 inches, by 5 pm, we felt like we had a blizzard.
Really, not even thick enough to totally coat the ground, but,
SOOOO pretty, but pictures can't capture it.
But, it kept falling, and as the temps dropped, it kept sticking.
At bedtime we were up to 8 inches.
EIGHT inches.
I really can't remember that much snow EVER.
Again, photos do not do it justice.
SOOOOOOOO PRETTY!!
Align CenterThe next day, it was still here, and the pooches had a blast romping, rolling, and eating the snow.
I had a blast watching them!!
These are my favorite shots.
It started Thursday, and by Saturday it was all gone.
No ice, no wind (I hate cold wind).
Perfect!!

Wha'ts all dat white stuff????

Here in East Texas, we do good to get one or two 'frostings' of snow a year.
This months 'snow storm' of EIGHT inches had us ALL spell bound...
Especially Princess Froggee who has never seen this stuff in her life!!
She keep wanting to go out in it, then turned right around and wanted back in.

She decided INSIDE was the best way to view this phenomenon.

Son-Day: "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder"

When The Roll is Called Up Yonder

Words and Music by James M. Black
1893

Revelation 20:12
"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God;
and the books were opened:"

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound,
and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks,
eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather
over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.

On that bright and cloudless morning
when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather
to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.

Let us labor for the Master
from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over,
and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder,
I’ll be there.

When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll, is called up yonder,
When the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.

Building Supervisor

Princess Froggee,
as the perfect Building Supervisor for the kingdom,

fully understands,

sometimes,

you must get in the middle of things,

in order to truly guide the building process,

(chomp)
especially when the laborers don't speak cat.

Fortunately, for the labors,

they listen well to feline guidance.

Son-Day: "In The Sweet By And By"

In The Sweet By And By
There's a land that is fairer than day
And by faith we can see it afar
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

To our bountiful Father above
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days.
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore
In the sweet by and by
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.

The Eyes Have It (pt 2)

Posted by Picasa
Check out her cool eyes...
They are gold not blue.
Cool 'accident' huh?
This is Barbie, or at least she used to be,
til hubby changed her name to Midnight.
He loves to REname my babies.
Midnight Barbie was rescued from dogs who had treed her,
by a dear friend.
She has been with us since last September,
and fits in perfectly.
Matriarch Feline, Queen Uno, approves,
and actually, that's all that really matters around here.
Duchess Midnight Barbie, a beauty inside and out.
